Founding Chairman & Visionary

  • The founding father of ERC, Muhuri was a bold visionary who dedicated his political and personal capital to settle thousands of Nairobians. He served two terms as Embakasi MP and held several key government positions, including Assistant Minister for Works and Chair of Kenya Bureau of Standards. He led ERC for 31 years, overseeing plot allocations, utility planning, and the birth of community schools and institutions on ERC land.
