Embakasi Ranching Company Ltd is a community-based land ownership company formed in 1975 by a group of visionary leaders with the backing of the Government of Kenya. The company was established to address the growing demand for land among Nairobi residents and to facilitate equitable, secure land distribution on a large scale. Today, we proudly serve over 35,000 shareholders, making us one of the largest land-owning companies in the country.
Our operations span more than 14,000 acres across Nairobi County, in what are now known as Nairobi Block 105 and Nairobi Block 136. These parcels of land host thousands of residential plots, community institutions, and public infrastructure.

- Our Commitment
Transparency in Communication
We believe in open and honest communication with our shareholders. Whether it’s about leases, meetings, or land updates, we provide accurate and timely information through verified channels.
Efficient Lease Processing
Our team works closely with the Ministry of Lands to ensure shareholders receive their leases without unnecessary delays. We actively push for title regularization and land security for every shareholder.
Annual General Meetings (AGMs)
We uphold accountability by organizing regular AGMs where shareholders can receive updates, ask questions, and vote on important company matters. This ensures that every voice is heard in our decision-making process.
Land Protection and Security
We are dedicated to protecting shareholder land from fraud, illegal encroachment, or unauthorized sales. All land records are verified and managed under strict internal controls and legal procedures.
Support for National Development Goals
We align our land policies with the Government of Kenya’s development agenda by availing land for schools, hospitals, roads, and other public services that uplift the community and promote sustainable urban growth.
