Overview
Embakasi Ranching Company Ltd is a land and shareholder trust organization committed to transparency, legitimacy, and integrity. As one of the largest land-owning companies in Kenya, we serve over 35,000 shareholders and uphold one of the most significant community titling and land allocation efforts in Nairobi’s eastern corridor.
Due to the increasing popularity and value of Embakasi Ranching land holdings, we have witnessed an increase in fraud cases, impersonation, and misrepresentation involving fake agents, counterfeit documents, and rogue websites. This page outlines our official fraud prevention policy, ways you can identify and avoid scams, and what steps to take if you suspect fraud.
We recognize that our shareholders have waited years, sometimes decades, for justice, titles, and clarity. We will not allow criminals to hijack your hope. That is why our board, led by Chairperson Nyokabi, is fully committed to:
- Our approach
Our Fraud Prevention and Awareness Policy Objective
Protect Shareholder Interests and Company Assets
Our primary objective is to safeguard the rights, titles, and financial interests of our shareholders. As a land-holding company, we recognize the value and sensitivity of our documents, shares, and title records. By implementing fraud-prevention protocols and strengthening our internal controls, we aim to reduce the risk of impersonation, document forgery, and fraudulent transactions that can harm shareholder trust and the company’s reputation.
Promote Transparency and Public Awareness
Embakasi Ranching Company is committed to transparency at all levels. We actively educate shareholders, buyers, and the general public about known scams, fake websites, and fraudulent agents. Through official announcements, fraud alerts, barazas, and our online platforms, we ensure that every stakeholder can access accurate and verified information to protect themselves from deception and exploitation.
Establish Secure and Verifiable Communication Channels
We strive to eliminate confusion and misinformation by providing verified and secure communication channels for all shareholder services. This includes official emails, mobile contacts, paybill numbers, physical offices, and websites. Ensuring that shareholders interact only through authorized points of contact reduces vulnerability to impersonation and supports clear, documented exchanges.
Enable Rapid Reporting and Enforcement Action
Our fraud prevention policy is also designed to facilitate fast reporting of suspected fraud and prompt enforcement. We have set up dedicated communication lines for fraud complaints, work closely with law enforcement agencies, and take legal action against impersonators and scammers. By empowering shareholders to report incidents and by acting swiftly, we aim to protect victims and deter potential fraudsters.
