Policy Development & Review: Lead the board’s annual review of land-allocation policies, ensuring they remain fair and responsive to shareholder needs.
Community Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and chair quarterly town-hall forums in Ruai and Makadara, gathering feedback from local residents on ERC services and proposed developments.
Monitoring Public Utility Allocations: Oversee the status of plots reserved for schools, health centers, and social amenities—working with county officials to expedite lease issuance for these facilities.
Advocacy & Partnerships: Forge partnerships with NGOs and local institutions to channel resources (e.g., funding, technical support) into community-driven projects on ERC land.
- About Jane Gakuya
Jane Gakuya brings over 15 years of experience in land administration and community development. Before joining Embakasi Ranching Company Ltd. (ERC), she worked with Nairobi City Council’s Lands Department, where she supported urban planning initiatives and guided informal settlement upgrades. Jane is known for her collaborative approach—she often convenes stakeholder meetings to ensure that land policies reflect local community needs. Her background in social work and land economics makes her a strong advocate for equitable land distribution and transparent governance.
