Public Institution Lease Facilitation: Coordinate the timely allocation and issuance of leases for public utilities (e.g., Ruai Primary School, Gituamba Health Clinic), working closely with school boards and county health officials.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Design and implement CSR initiatives—such as borehole drilling and tree-planting programs—that improve living conditions on ERC land.
Member Welfare Programs: Oversee micro-grants and scholarship funds for ERC shareholders, ensuring transparent selection processes and equitable distribution.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with community-based organizations and faith-based institutions to identify land needs for social services, then present proposals to the board for approval.
- About Josephine Wambui
Josephine Wambui has served on ERC’s board since 2018, focusing on social infrastructure and shareholder welfare. With a master’s degree in community development, she previously led a regional NGO that provided vocational training to women in informal settlements. Her leadership at ERC centers on ensuring that the company’s land parcels benefit not only individual shareholders but also the broader community—particularly through schools, clinics, and social halls. Josephine is recognized for her empathetic communication style and her ability to mobilize resources for community upliftment.
